WISDOME
The concept of this project was to create something fun and versatile for a public area. I wanted to make a light stool that was stackable and could work as a module. The stools can easily connect with each other to create different forms in the room.
I wanted this piece to be interesting for both adults but mostly children. By connecting two stools with a part that reminded me of a piece of puzzle created a fun detail for kids and makes them understand the joinery.
When I started this project, I just found out about a company called Forust that has created a new form of 3D-printing where they use sawdust and lignin. I wanted this to be a part of my project and therefore I created this organic piece that connects the seat with the legs. A form that cannot be made in real wood, but it can with 3D technology. This is also why the stool has this color palett. I wanted it to resemble the material that is made at Forust.
