For this project I wanted to create a chair that was simple, but with a twist. I knew that I wanted to incorporate metal in some way and ended up using it as the seat and backrest. The chair did have armrests just as in the drawings, but I ended up removing them to let the metal speak for itself.

The inspiration behind the metal web was a metal weave that I created in a previous course at Malmstens. My first idea was to use the weave as the seat, but I wanted a messier look and therefore I created the web.
