During my first year at Malmstens, a course in style history was held where we were given the task of creating a wallpaper with inspiration taken from an earlier era. It had to look modern but still have visible features from the chosen era. 

I chose to work with an ornament that was often seen among late Gustavian furniture designs (a Swedish style inspired by French Neoclassicism, 1785–1810), called an entrelac. The result became fun and playful.
